Do you have the full paid-for dynamic plugin or just the free version that installs with D S? (I can never remember if this feature is in the free version.) In the Dynamic Clothing tab, click on the Preferences sub-tab (if you have it) and tick the box for Face-Body Intersection. This is usually turned off by default; it allows a large-mesh dynamic cloth to drape properly over small-mesh protrusions on a figure. The problem usually is that the small detailed bits of the figure are actually poking in between the larger mesh of the cloth.

Note that how well this works depends a lot on how dense the cloth mesh is; as mentioned upthread, some are not very dense at all, and tend to come out a bit blocky and 'chunky' when draped over small details.
