As far as i am concerned soundflower is a legitimate piece of software. I've had it installed on most of my macs over the years and it has never given me any trouble. Patch Adams Contact Address. It is getting on in age, there isn;t a lot of new development going on with it but if still seems to perform as it should even on Mountain Lion. Having said that thee are other posters here who will tell you not to install it. As it does add an extension to the kernel there is always the possibility of it causing problems. If you do experience problems on your system and if this (or any third party kexts are installed) you will need to remove them for troubleshooting purposes. All in all I find soundflower a valuable bit of software and I'd be disappointed if the time came that I was not able to use it anymore.
